I find it humorous that I think this speculated advertising cost is a positive thing for MSLP, but it is seen as a bash somehow and am being called out for it.

Is it really that much of a stretch to believe that placement can be manipulated on a for-profit top 50 list through normal advertising measures?

Asking how much it costs for me to become a lock step MSLP zombie is basically asking me how much it costs to ignore reality. Obviously your price is lower than mine.
