The problem with modern processors is that it is difficult to get a performance advantage through creative engineering. So it all boils down to packaging and features. Now there is a lot that can be done in this area, and Sun certainly has experience they can bring to the table. Hopefully they understand the server market better than Dell does and can package things accordingly.
