That is an interesting piece. I guess you could expect bi-polar politics. I believe that capitalists and environmentalists are going to have to deal with each other at some level, sometime.

Environmentalists may seem to get in the way, I am glade they are there to study, educate, protect and defend. The alternative wouldn't be pretty either, imo.

Although one of the writers was distressed from lack of attendance of soveriegn top dogs. I would be much more interested in the corporate and civic leaders. They will be the ones that generate new projects at the street level.

The Republican right – the Tea party, etc – are building around climate denial. In that sense, the American scene is deteriorating on these issues."

I can imagine the corporate pressures on the GOP during poor economic climates. $$ is King.
