Hey liljoe - tried finding what you're looking for. Does someone else have the empirical evidence?

It was recently inn-acted that Market Makers must accurately display the "wall" at the current bid or ask. Of course, as I said this, the same MM just got hit for 120k shares and is only showing a hand of 5k.
