I guess I was confused by the number of burners.

Mine has a side-burner you could set a pan on, (Useless unless it's absolutely calm ) and the burner at the bottom has controls for left and right burner.

I clean the grill with an older grill-brush B-4 I light it, pre-heat 15 minutes (Clean again with new brush)
