They would have to give any numbers in a public announcement. I guess it would be nice if I could call him, ask for current numbers and if they were good I could buy more shares before the results he gives you goes public. However, if they sound bad, I could just sell before everyone finds out. You don't need to call anyone, they will not be giving you anything concrete as that would be considered insider trade.
