Thanks Bucks for the respectful response. You are right that manufacturing is not my area, and I do understand that the cost structure and financing needs are far different. And believe me, I know how bad the economy is. My 3rd business is very much suffering under that weight.

I just think it's looking like it will be difficult for SMKY to land financing without going further down the toxic path, leading to "ineffective dilution", if you will. And I still don't understand why the IA processor would sell so cheap for the privilege of being under a penny shell, if indeed their revs are as high as stated, and they are profitable.

Again, I haven't sold and don't plan to for at least a few (several? lol!) months. According to most here, that should be plenty of time for the financing to have come through and the acquisition(s) should be underway, correct? We shall see.

Sidenote: don't know when the last time you priced Macs was, but an $8k Mac would be quite spectacular! Be hard to get there, unless you load a tower with expensive cards. Fully loaded laptops, which are effectively desktop replacements, are in the 2200-3000 range. That's the latest Intel Core i7 procs and 16gb RAM and a completely FLASH storage architecture. Typically, we dock those into large flat panels which adds another $1k + about 300 in peripherals. And iMacs are a downright bargain, considering the quality of the components. So while still spendy, they're priced more inline with the best offerings from Sony and other PCs. Amazing machines that natively run every OS we need :)

Of course this post is my opinion. Every post by anyone is an opinion. I'm not writing a white paper on scams… in this post, anyway...
