Done all the time? Founders stepping down from director and officer positions? ROFLMAO.
It's probably done all the time when the founder is sued by the SEC for fraud and they know they will lose.

CTO is an officer (Chief Technology Officer). JB is not an officer. He's "Chief of Technology", a meaningless made up title to allow him to pretend to be an officer on Linked In while saying to the SEC, "See, I'm not REALLY an officer". Too funny.
