Philadelphia, PA. It’s not often that fans get to hear the story behind the 16 bars directly from the mouth of the artist who wrote them. Rhymestreet (parent company of RhymeStreet.com, RhymeStreet Magazine and RSTV) and Idle Media (parent company of hip hop entertainment site Datpiff.com, clipcartel, and hiphopearly.com) presents Raw the Breakdown, the inaugural season.
RSTV joined up with Idle Media to release it’s first hip hop series to the world. The featured artists for this “hiphopumentary” (hip hop documentary) will be: Dice Raw, 5 mics, Mic Stew, Reef Da lost Cauze, Verso, Chill Moody, Mazon, Selena Carrera, Vixion Allure, Chinko Da Great, Charlie K (Writtenhouse), The Wrecking Crew, Jahn Q, Denice Frohman, Bones, and B Lee.
The inaugural season is set to release on Rhymestreet.com and clipcartel.com starting this July, in the form of (8) 10-12 minute episodes. Each artists “breaksdown” a 16 bar verse in a music video style video all capped off by a Raw Hip Hop Freestyle Cypher which allows the artists to show off their lyrical talents and the exact reason they were chosen to be featured. Trust me you don’t want to miss this one.
