Maybe they don't want to spend the money at this point. Marketing dollars might be best used to push it to social media and elsewhere. Not every small company advertises in trades. We are also in the natural food and supplements business and not every company I buy from advertises in those as well.

Does it mean they don't have a worthy product? I get what you are doing and it's not cool. I suggest you email the marketing folks at AAPT and let them know they should be advertising in the trade rather than snipe them on a message board.
