Junebug check out Buick cars with e-assist. The battery takes up just 2 cubic feet in the trunk and is tied to an electric motor to help boost acceleration and improve fuel economy of the 4 cyl engine. GM plans to expand this technology. You could see it in hundreds of thousands of cars soon.The battery is lithium ion. MMTE
