About Apple, they employ over 304,000 workers in the USA. They DO produce some parts in the US, the iphone chip and the display glass for example.

Apple is trying to produce more components stateside.

As far as cheap Chinese labor, they are far from being exploited, they line up in droves for the chance to make the much higher than average wages that a Foxcomm job pays.

Please don't tell me some poor American is missing out on a job - the sad realization is this - jobs are out there, its just we as Americans are often too proud or unwilling to make the sacrifices needed to go and get them.

I have worked in war zones for 6 years now, because the Michigan economy sucks ! Is it a sacrifice ?, yes - but compared to what Americans before me did to put food on the table, it's not a big deal.

If you look globally, you will see its not uncommon at all for most other cultures to travel far from home for decent jobs, these people have the drive that we as a country seem to have lost.

Also, lets just say Apple did all its assembly and parts manufacturing stateside, do you really think the quality would be up to par ?

I am a proud American serving my country in a war zone, but how many Americans do you know that would assemble electronics by hand all day for say - 11.00 per hour. Its very monotonous work to say the least.

YOU CAN HAVE YOUR ALL AMERICAN iPhone -

It will just cost 1400.00 and have a much higher than normal fail rate.
