If a CEO and a company were selling shares, could they tell an individual investor that they were doing so before going public with the information?
The answer is no as it would be inside information.
It's neither positive or negative. It just is.
Do I think the company is selling shares? No I don't, if I did, I wouldn't have bought more today at 42. I was just wanting people to know that there is certain information that a CEO can't say in his email. The CEO would only be lying if he was in fact selling shares, which as already mentioned, I do not believe that to be the case.
