Hi Cat. Warning - long reply ahead.

That is it exactly, Cat; I couldn't have said it better myself. The fact is that the original business model of Hybrid Fuels was very sound, scientifically. It just never had the right people driving it. Marketing/PR was virtually non-existent, which is why you always read in the company bio/history that they have always been a develoment stage co. focused on further developing their technologies, etc., etc., etc. Here's the truth... there was not enough focus on anything. The powers that held the reins were all self-made, having succeeded in their respective previous business ventures and sadly - I think HRID was more of a hobby than it was a serious business interest for any of them.

They were all guys who were already long in the tooth, if you get my drift, and I guess they came to realize that they didn't particularly want to pour into that venture what it had taken them to each succeed in previous ventures. They didn't have the drive anymore, and were apparently not too concerned with taking a "small" bath on their investments in Hybrid. The problem is that for most of the shareholders the bath was not one we could afford as easily.

So they never reached the operational stage, even though the numbers suggested they were on the brink of something that could have been very lucrative. They just weren't motivated enough to pursue the outcome we had all envisioned. To this day I still believe in what they were about. Most folks, unless they've been around this company/story as long as I have, would not know what the original business model entailed. I still believe that in the right hands it would make for a successful business, capable of generating handsome returns on shareholders' initial investments, but I guess we'll never know now. The company lapsed into shell status, with a pps of a penny (literally), and so for all intents and purposes it appeared dead; until, that is, it was given a chance at new life... "NOUVEAU Life".

For me, and for some others, this new opportunity is one that has a whole different feel to it than what has perhaps been the feeling of most other more recent investors in HRID/NOUV. We are still not within a sniff of my avg., but I remain quite optimistic, given what I see unfolding.

So you were not wrong. You were bang on, sir.

Have a great day. smile
