Maybe you need to read my post more carefully. The two units WITH NO MONTHLY FEE only allow you to call 911 and or family/friends.

Their LifeSentry Product, WHICH HAS A MONTHLY FEE JUST LIKE MEDIPENDANT, allows for professional installers and the use of a centralized call center. Your only semi-legitimate claim is that it's not completely waterproof, but as they state clearly in the FAQ on their website, it can be worn in the shower though it's not recommended.
