As ERHC's wells had results released in just a few months does that mean they were oil discoveries? They are not currently tight-holed, and the discoveries of gas has been announced since two years ago.

About KIC-1:

Another dry hole

Please supply documentation? Of course that is not possible, the well is still tight-holed. In fact Chevron won a lawsuit upholding KIC-1's confidentiality. It remains a secret. Period.

The example Troyty gave is still tight holed, yet.

This was a duster.

Please supply documentation.

In the Gulf of Mexico, Wood Mackenzie, the global energy mining research and consultancy group, analyzed the historic patterns and results of wells held as tight. It found 20% were discoveries, 80% not.

So it is a false assumption that all tight holes are dusters. Period.

No, countries and oil companies don't "tight hole" major discoveries they brag about them. Actually no wells are tight-holed more than a few months past drilling unless they are dusters.

Is false. Period. Two out of ten tight-holes are discoveries in the Gulf of Mexico as of that 2007 study.

Common knowledge in the oil and gas industry. Lol.
