I would hardly call it wasting time on Medinah when you get in to the stock at the ground floor and ride it to the top. Sounds like smart investing to me. Of course you could invest in a major and watch it make small incremental moves up and down. If you invested in BHP 1 year ago you wold be facing massive losses right now yet no one is calling them a scam.
