Your referrence to a "Gut Feeling" is interesting, as it is a good description of how one might sort out the facts in a subconcious way. Pieces of information fall into place in one's mind without realizing it.

By trade, I am a heavy equipment mechanic/weldor. Many times I have been faced with a knotty problem on a difficult repair, wondering to myself just how to attack it. More times than I can remember, the answer comes to me, usually when I am relaxed. A bottle of Bass Ale helps a lot.
