Unfortunately I had a feeling this day would come eventually, Mike moves around alot, I had found that not only was he at Freestyle and Viviendi, but there was another company that he was at a very short time. Viviendi I think it was 1-2 years, and that's owned by Universal. With no movie out in 2 years at Sycamore I really didn't expect him to stay. Mike was good for Sycamore and a penny stock company, but he was no heavyweight in the biz of distribution, hopefully Ed learned everything Mike could teach him while he was there. There are distributors for hire of higher caliber, and until Sycamore is putting out 3-6 movies per year it's not really essential for them to have an inside guy that they are paying a salary to. So yes, I believe it is a loss as somebody with experience is better than nobody, on the other hand, it opens the door to someone of higher caliber. I would love to see an ex Lionsgate or Miramax type guy come in. It's not the end of the world. Look where Mike went, he's not distributing blockbusters at Warner Bros now(not knocking him), so getting another guy of his caliber or better shouldn't be that hard.IMO
