The excuse is cost. E3 would cost them upwards $55,000 to attend. You do know they are located in England right? And would have to fly out marketing materials, enough to handle the masses, plus at least three employees to handle the shifts, plus cost of booth space itself and for what? To rub elbows with mostly other developers or analysts that wouldn't cover a sub $1 stock anyhow?

Last thing they need to do is waste what little cash flow they have on something silly like E3. Instead all their free cash flow needs to go towards hiring top notch social game programmers, tying them to the business with profit sharing on the games success so they don't leave and are motivated, and flying down to India or some other country to outsource the bulk programming so DNAD can focus on game concept, IP, and graphics design like most online game companies have done and pump out volumes of games.

It is a numbers game. Release X number of games each quarter, Eventually you tag a winner. They should be holding design competitions as well for up and coming UK designers.
