I need some tomato advice. As you can see by this picture...these 2 are growing pretty good. They have tons of flowers and the one on the right has 7 or 8 tomatoes already.



The problem is the containers they're in are only 10 inches deep and there's about 2 inches of room at the top. So the plants are only in about 8 inches of soil.

Should I transplant them into one of the buckets (which could give them about a foot of soil if I fill it up to the top) or should I leave them alone? AND...I'm not 100% sure that the plastic containers they're in are food grade.


Think we'll grow 3 more arms if we eat the tomatoes grown in them? Will the plastic stuff seep out and into the tomatoes...or are they ok for one season?
