That's me crying.
It actually takes more than peeling onions to make a Vulcan weep. I scour the web each day trying to find anything that connects to Tivus but I convinced it is now what the intelligence community refers to as a "Black Op". We might call it Tivus, but the Pentagon surely refers to it as "Operation Vacancy".
The only way we will learn what Tivus is up to is by watching what is going on with its more transparent adversaries. With LNET and Host nosediving into nasty territory I would conclude SP has an internet virus which has been unleashed on them.
I was re-reading some of the statements SP made about the time the Caribbean news was disclosed and thinking to myself that if the claims he is now making about how a company can benefit from having a Tivus installation, then if he has the support to to do it, no sane hotel would consider anything less from anyone else.
Of course, so much needs to be revealed so very badly, I truly cannot help but to think this quietness is all part of the strategy to knock the big guys off their pedestals. If the bombshell about to be dropped are well timed and of sufficient power, the big kids will have no choice but to find themselves even more on the defensive than they are now.
Seeing Tivus emerge imminently with some deep roots anchored in a few beefy contracts, some great positive testimonials and maybe a nice mobile ap to go along might be all it takes to establish T. as the Borg of the hospitality industry interactive media. (perhaps they could institute a program of traveler benefits--such as "frequent viewer miles" where so many hours spent in a Tivus-enabled room converts to discounts at Tivus-enabled Hotels or discounts from Tivus advertisers.
Of course, in a couple of hundred years, money will be out of style and Tivus will have to adapt, but I have no problem with Tivus getting its own subspace frequency and being available aboard all Federation craft.
