Well it depends how its trading. Some stocks you can just tell something is wrong with them which would cause me to do more research as you said. But once I'm in I am doing research non stop if I did like the trading action. But I have learned what is good and is bad trading action over years.
Frontloading is a really important thing to check for.
I will never buy a stock with no volume, that's just silly.
You're right with your last point too, but I never buy in because big iHub names say to.
