If you were to take several screenshots showing VFIN's 5000 share ask that has absorbed several hundred thousand shares without moving, you could report it to FINRA. They would really take VFIN to the woodshed, cough cough.

After multitudes of complaints of Market Maker misbehaviours, FINRA is the "self regulatory organization" that has mandated the rule of showing what you're buying or selling. FINRA is owned and operated by, drum roll please, the Market Makers. It is the quintessential "fox guarding the hen-house".
