CSL Behring's website is inconsequential to the real world where EMED SCIg are the marekt leader and have been for many years. My company is a large user and uses mostly EMED sets. Their new Soft-Glide sets are wonderful and patients love them.

I was told their new pump is currently under FDA review for market clearance. Their people told us it should be approved as will the code E0779 for Medicare reimbursement. Also, the Freedom60 is not the only pump approved for this code as many have been led to believe. You can find out the other pumps at the Noridian website.

Their variable rate control set is of great interest. With one rate control set you can eliminate the need for the multiple SKU's of rate-specific sets the other pump needs. And, their cost is so much less than the ones we are using we have to look at them very closely. So far, everyhting looks very good and the evaluations have been favorable.

Just telling the facts from our side of things. I like to make a few pennies too, but one can also get hurt without all of the facts.
