DOg, I do easily recall this post. I have made less headway since then tahn I had hoped, however, I think the answer here is complicated. There is no doubt that despite the ease of modern communications, there are some who are just more comfortable with "old school" ways of doing things.
There is no doubt in my mind that strange lot sizes, timings of transactions and such are clear indicators of instructions and intentions being sent back and forth. My success rate of predicting changes in TIVU share price is about 85%. Less clear is in which direction the price will move.
I am sure that some "transactions" are not transactions at all. We all see tiny lots moving which are barely worth the price of a Happy Meal on stocks like these. We all equally watch stocks that drop premarket almost every day , when the 10:00 bell sounds, everything is back to normal until 3:55 when a price that has NOT budges all day long suddenly dips for mere seconds, then returns to 'baseline".
In fact, many of us heard blatant share supporting of Facebook by underwriters. If it had not happened, FB may well have fallen quite a bit more sharply and that would have been sensationally embarrassing for a few.
Dog, I have sent you most of my email address in a previous post because I do not have a paid account yet...and we should communicate more. I am trying to learn what information sources are of best value on stocks like these. I will tell you soon enough which post to go to to find it.
I want to go on record as saying if I believed the market was completely driven by demand, I wouldn't be searching so hard for
other sources of good information. I would just learn market trends only. But I have seen way more than enough evidence of questionable manipulation that I think getting a fair shake in an environment such as this is not very likely. I am not cynical, just pragmatic.
And as for partying::: Sure, I have a box full of hats,masks whistles, kazoos and related paraphernalia. I even have a Darth Vader costume. My best though is my Lando. I am a Vulcan sex god.
