Google Earth only updates satellite images every 1-3 years. That is why we have to rely on current information....like the NOBLE Mineral Resource's maps of the area to see there is a new road to KAT's Ekom Eya property. from Mar 2012 (see below)

Understanding Google Earth imagery

This article explains:

How Google Earth imagery is not in real time
When Google Earth imagery is collected
Why imagery is sometimes blurry
How to provide imagery for public use

When is Imagery Collected?

Google Earth acquires the best imagery available, most of which is approximately one to three years old. The information in Google Earth is collected over time and is not in 'real time'. For example, it's not possible to see live changes in images.
