My heart goes out to these people in the path of Katrina. This is an unprecedented event in the course of our history - and one I hope we never see again. What started out as a tropical depression turned into a national disaster. Unbelievable!

I lived within the 10 mile radius of Three Mile Island the day it went down the tubes so I know what it feels like to have to leave your home and not know if you'll ever be able to return. I lived in NYC when World Trade Center went down so I know first-hand about post-traumatic stress syndrome. And I've just been thru Katrina in So Florida when she was only a Category 1. But none of it even comes close to what these people are going thru right now.

Words can't even express this tragedy.
