A lot of fraudulent PK stocks get suspended and no subsequent action happens. What really made a difference with CKYS was the involvement of the FBI in charging CEO Jim Plant with criminal fraud.

Additionally the SEC sued Big Apple Consulting, the IR firm that helped facilitate the CKYS fraud and sold millions of unregistered shares in the process.
