You are incorrect. Pennystocks are shorted every day at even lower price points than this. I believe Friday is when the short volume was 50% of the total volume which put it around 10m in short volume.

Not many ppl would be selling at this level knowing its going up. When you see the ask stack with 1.5 the 900k then 700k that typically shows you that ppl are shorting. Big Asks.
