I have been long NNVC for a couple of years now. Started trading it when you could buy about 1.20 and sell about 1.45. Over time, I have accumulated a core position, which I will not sell, barring some very bad development. My sense is that if this technology proves out, we will have a product comparable to antibiotics with all the attendant market growth. Not just a new product really, it's an entirely new field of medicine IMO.

For now, however, I believe we are in for 2-3 years of little real stock movement. Witness the recent momentary 'pop' we got out of the patent approval. A significant event and we got a 3 day bump and back to the .60s. We'll get another little 'pop' when and if the FDA permits the IND process to start. And other small spikes and retreats as we move through that process. But nothing really significant can be expected until there are results from human trials and that will take several years. Meantime, if we get back up to $2-3 ps in the next two years, we will be very fortunate.

So to my mind, this stock is all about patience, buying for your core position when it's very cheap and selling your most expensive shares when it's up. And to bide the time, you can trade it. I recently bought a trading block of shares at .56 and sold at .75. Yes, I left money on the table, but a 34% gain soothed the pain and lowered my overall basis. This time I will be looking at buying in the low .60s, probably around .62 or so, with a sale around .80. Wash, rinse and repeat.

Here's an objective for you: Can you trade successfully enough to get your basis on your core position down below zero? Beats carping about how the stock isn't going anywhere, when you know it won't for several years.

My plan: Pay attention to what is happening, but don't get to worked up about the pps. Make it work for you while you wait. And be prepared to wait a long while.
