Downtown Mobile got hit hard. Water level rose 11 ft and put downtown under water. It was the worse storm surge they ever had. 200,000 people in Mobile area without power. I don't know if you saw pictures. I-10 was under water acrosee the bay. Mobile is 2 hours west of me.
One of the reasons I didn't have damage from this storm and hurricane Dennis (which hit me directly), is because of the new hurricane buiding codes, built to withstand 140 MPH winds. Of course if you have a projectile going at 140 MPH, it will go through anything.
