beigledog, my results are mixed in my trading account.
Compared with July 29, the last trading day in July ... I'm dead even at the moment.
Taking the entire summer into account ... if I had "sold in May and gone away" ... I'd be 10% better off than I am now.
My own fault though, I missed a couple of no-brainer plays, and I didn't go in big enough on a few that I WAS in.
I had a heckuva Sept. '04 through May '05, so I'm not too bothered by it, plus, I'm spending a lot of time learning some new approaches to this TA thing, this summer has been sort of "back to school" time for me and I've only traded half-heartedly.
Maybe by next year I won't even consider "sell in May and go away", hopefully I'll be that much further up the learning curve and having too much fun.
