I suspect that buying and reselling treasure and/ or current production makes sense...Colombia apparently is a pretty dangerous place to be a gringo and have a lot of cash but understand the mines sell to people all the time... Plus everyone knows treasure items néed to be marketed and toured etc to get top dollar so a significant discount could be negotiated i would suspect.
