Denmo, let me answer your question this way. Our President, Congress, and the majority of political and legal leadership continually evoke the phrase GOD BLESS AMERICA. I find it absurd that anyone would make such a "request" while standing totally and unequivocally opposed to God, God's laws, and God's direction for our lives. The height of hypocrisy? Yes indeed. But back to my initial comment. If you can prove to me that the majority of people in this country are homosexual or support homosexuality then I will relent. I won't agree but I will relent. The bible tells us that, in the last days, men did what was right in their own eyes. Men make those laws you reference but yet seek God's blessing for something that He has already clearly voiced (so the bible tells us) as being opposed to. I think Obama's public statement represents a harbinger, maybe a final harbinger, of what is directly in front of us. I hope you understand my meaning. But remember this, God's ways are not our ways (never more true than today) and unfortunately man today seeks to do the exact opposite of what and how we are so instructed. Just because we cannot understand God, there is the implication that we must be right. This is not going to end well for us as a people until we face up to II Chronicles 7:14. Sorry for the long answer but you did ask my opinion.
