People wonder how it is Kat got the BIbiani and Noble did not



I know why, I do not wonder. Kat is a partner with the people and the Bibiani Co-Op ....Noble is not!


"The youth at Bibiani in the Bibiani-Anwinaso-Bekwai District of the Western region have passionately appealed to the management of Noble Mines Company Limited, a South African mining company to employ them.

At a press conference, the Bibiani Youth Association registered their discontentment over the company’s decision to employ workers outside the town.

The spokesperson of the group, Gyasi Newlove, said the youth in the town must be employed by the company so that they could earn income to survive.

He noted that it was unfair for the company to ignore the youth in the area since they would suffer as a result of the company’s operations.

The spokesperson indicated that because of the presence of the company, many farms in the town have been destroyed thereby leading to high prices of foodstuffs.

Again, he noted that because the company mainly employs workers living outside the town and the district, HIV/AIDS infections in the town have skyrocketed in recent times.

Environmental degradation, air and water pollution have become a common phenomenon in the town due to the operations of the company, Mr Newlove noted.

He stated that houses and rooms of people living close to the mines have developed cracks as a result of the blasting by the company.

“If we have to face all these difficulties and yet we are unable to get employment with the company to at least compensate our loss, then we can simply say that the company has not been fair to us,” the spokesperson stated."
