A manager at Ameritrade called me, Kevin Logan. He claimed the DTC has said they won't clear shares so that's why Ameritrade isn't letting us sell or buy. I told him if he can provide proof of that, no problem, but I'd like to see proof of that.

He says he'll email it to me if he gets it.

His position is that it makes no sense for Ameritrade to restrict selling because they make money on trades. I didn't address that, but I did mention a problem I had a month or so ago, and I won't digress here, in which Ameritrade did something other brokers wouldn't, and against me as a customer and that I lost a lot of money on that and that I could lose even more on this if I'm not free to sell, and that I let the other one go, but that I won't let this one go.

I said other brokerages are still allowing trading in the stock and I am asking for evidence to substantiate Ameritrade isn't acting on its own on this. So welll see if they send me anything.

I got shot off my horse. So what? I'm up again. Mark Knopfler
