TDAmeritrade should let it always connect to its servers feeding data, I don't see why not. I chose TDAmeritrade because of Quotetracker.
This is the only software that would allow you to ave 50 realtime charts open, newsfeeds, option chains, raw data, Level II, etc. on multiple monitors, on an older Pentium 1500Mhz system, and taking up only 15% CPU clocks on average, and 50 megs of RAM. I don't know what the limit would be, but I wouldn't be surprised to know QT would easily drive up to 4000 charts simultaneously (I think this is the hardcoded limit for # of symbols in each portfolio) with realtime data.
Love it for agility, simplicity, and lightning-fast operation, detailed data, great, great charting/data display capabilities, compactness and great customization options.
Sure it doesn't have the bells and whistles (CNBC live TV, etc), but for trading, charting - it's just perfect IMO.
