TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire -04/23/12)- John G. Simmonds, Chairman & CEO of Vertility Capital Corporation ("VCC") - a 100% owned subsidiary of Wireless Age Communications Inc. (Also known as Vertility Technology Corporation) (Pinksheets: WLSA.PK - News), is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter J. Murphy as President of Vertility Capital Corporation effective immediately. Mr. Murphy will join Carrie Weiler, Renny Bidinot, Pete Shoniker, Mike Duffy, Claire Shoemaker, Kate Simmonds and Bruce Simmons as a member of the Vertility Group of Companies Corporation's ("Vertility Group") Senior Management Team. These companies include Newlook Industries Corp. (CNSX: NLI), Wireless Age Communications Inc. (Pinksheets: WLSA.PK - News), and other incorporated Vertility branded entities which have been in existence for over a year. Mr. Murphy will have exclusive control over the financing for the growth as well as the expansion through Mergers & Acquisitions in all companies within the Vertility Group, and will represent all corporate interests with the Vertility Advisory Board which is Chaired by Ambassador (Ret.) Kenneth D. Taylor, and Co-Chaired by General (Ret.) Lewis W. MacKenzie and William B. Packer Jr. (former Chairman of CITGO OIL U.S. Lubes).
Mr. Murphy is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, and the Rotman School of Business (M.B.A.). Under the direction of the Honorable John Evans, he Co-Chaired a comprehensive study of the various Trust Companies for the Governing Body of Trust Companies in Canada. He was later commissioned by Peter Maurice (President of Canada Trust), to lead a study to review, analyze and evaluate Canada Trust's Operations. Mr. Murphy's Report and Recommendations were embraced and implemented by Canada Trust, and in the result, Canada Trust merged with the Toronto Dominion Bank. Mr. Murphy has also served as Managing Partner of a Toronto based Law Firm, and served as a member on various Boards of Directors in both the Public Markets and Private Sectors.
Mr. Murphy worked closely and personally with the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives (as he then was) Newt Gingrich, and together, they introduced the "Environmental Plan" for the United States at a National Press Conference. Mr. Murphy and his partners have been responsible for billions of dollars in environmentally and eco-friendly development projects on four different continents.
Chairman & CEO John G. Simmonds expressed his delight this morning, with the addition of Mr. Murphy to the Vertility Group as President of Vertility Capital Corporation.
"It is indeed rare that the Canadian business community sees an opportunity to repatriate the business expertise of a great Canadian like Peter Murphy. He has a most unique breadth and depth of experience in the Law, business, public life, finance and corporate leadership in both Canada and the United States. He is a very committed and extraordinary Business Leader. Vertility Capital Corporation is the engine which drives the Vertility Group of Companies including and most importantly, Wireless Age Communications and Newlook Industries. To have someone of Peter's experience and caliber, both as a man, and a Business Leader at the helm of Vertility Capital Corporation, relieves many members of the Senior Management Team of responsibilities for financings, projections and Mergers & Acquisitions, and allows them to focus on our core businesses of Waste Equipment Manufacturing, the servicing, safety, maintenance and repair of Waste Equipment, Ground Water Remediation Equipment Manufacturing, the continuing Research, Development and Production of CR 40 Rubber Crum and associated Oil Spill Recovery technologies, and the emerging and exigent need for Vertility's suite of offerings in the Development of Real Estate which is experiencing an unprecedented demand for Remediation Treatment for Ground Water and other Contaminants."
From Vertility's Headquarters in King City, Ontario, Mr. Murphy stated, "After 15 years in the U.S. where I enjoy Dual Citizenship, I never envisaged the development of a project which would bring me home to Canada. Having the opportunity to work with John Simmonds, Ambassador Ken Taylor, General Lew MacKenzie, Bill Packer and the outstanding Vertility Senior Management Team is the business opportunity of a lifetime. It will be my last full time posting in my professional career, and the next five years are going to be terrific for our Shareholders."
Vertility Technology Corporation is a public company focused on acquiring and expanding companies providing end-to-end life cycle solutions for waste and energy efficient products and services for residential, commercial and industrial end users.
