I’ve talked to the Economic director of Kingston, NY and he made it apparent that there never was any real intention to build the manufacturing plant in NY. I’ve spoken with the Economic director in Washington DC and he said that there has been no application by any of the names associated with VPER for any form of manufacturing facility to be built. I also spoke with the economic director or Bettendorf IA and this is his email from the facility that was supposed to open in May 2012.
At this time the LEDs America project is still seeking financing for the project. If they are successful in obtaining the private sector financing they need, I am quite certain they would then return to the City of Bettendorf for financial assistance. If that happens, it should receive exposure through the local media. Thanks
