Jim it appears at first glance what you have is a bi-monthly settlement chart for short sales. I don't have that much experience with that particular chart yet to try to explain it properly to you. If I was a guessing man I would say it is only showing a couple of days span as the days till settlement is 0-1. I would guess its almost worthless as a chart for short sales. Here are a couple of other short sale charts you might find easier to understand and that show more of the short sale volume taking place.

I think the first chart it may be the second but you will see it says google on the input just type in gers and set your time frame.

Also I am still learning what I can about short sales there's quite a bit of info out there about short sales. My suggestion would be to read as much as you can and if you have questions to call your broker. Most brokers will be happy to share their knowledge (at least the ones at scottrade have been very helpful for me). GLTA longs!
