EPA Status

There has been a whole lot of innuendo and conjecture (most of which is incomplete or just wrong) in connection with the pending EPA application. I asked the company for an update and was told I could post this reply:

“In response to your question as to the status of our EPA filing, let me first clarify that the actual filer of record is EnvirEau Technologies, a Canadian Company, which makes it a foreign company filing. This status has created some of the normal delay issues associated with non-USA registration. GEC is the agent and exclusive USA distributor for EnvirEau Technologies’ products, and as such, all communication from the EPA will flow through GEC and on to EnvirEau. However, the most time consuming part of the whole process has been the number of product applications that GEC and EnvirEau are attempting to have registered on this one filing. In fact, the applications being registered is nearly double that of any other similar copper-based product. Each different application has to have efficacy support data and a separate label for each application. In addition, the design of each shipping container/bottle must be approved and equipped with a child-proof cap. We believe that as of late last week, all criteria appear to be assembled and the final application will be made soon. After submission, the EPA has 30 days to review the application and respond back to GEC with any questions. If there are no questions, they will proceed with the registration, which then must happen within a 90 day period. The EPA charges for their services and the timelines in which they must act are guaranteed. They can make these timelines because most of the questions are answered before the final registration is submitted, so we are fairly confident that there won’t be any more lengthy delays.”
