Actually from my observations ( and everyone has a differing opinion based on their experiences) there is a professional courtesy extended amongst judges and lawyers that in the 'real world' would be dealt in a much harsher fashion.
One lawyer once told me the reason is that all Judges are lawyers too and know what it's like to be on the other side of the bench.
That being said it also depends on the Judge. Some are much stricter than others all the time, some will give until a certain point, etc. But none of them like their authority usurped...that seems to be the trend among all.
Violate the rules is one thing, violate orders just about always leads to no good outcome.
But in this case so far IMO we have just seen the professional courtesy being extended for much of the miscues.
