Sounds like it!

I have pretty good insurance through my retired military status. My recent shoulder surgery ran me less than $75 out of pocket, including all office visits, and everything except my physical therapy. Haven't settled up on that yet.

It's good they work with US accredidation boards.

I was not aware of anywhere in Africa that did that! LOL

While stationed in Algiers, I literally had to get on a plane and go to Germany to an Army hospital for anything requiring a Dr's visit. We had an Embassy nurse, who did what she could, but she was limited.

While in the Congo, basically same deal, but we did have a French military Dr. we could see who was pretty good, and specialized in tropical related illnesses. Also a Russian civilian Dr, who I went to see once or twice.

The local hospitals, literally, did not have even an aspirin tablet. Anyone who was a patient there, had to be brought their meals by family members, as the hospital did not feed.

My wife and I went with one of our residential guards to see his wife and new baby in the hospital. We took her huge plate of food for dinner, and she had half the ward standing there watching her eat. She ate maybe a third of it, and shared the rest with several other patients. It was pretty pitiful, and made me thankful for what I had.
