Unfortunately Eric writes and uses his "expert" credentials, throwing around words all to easily to build up a smokescreen. Don't fool yourself, Maz, there are a lot of "unsophistocated" investors out there, in fact most of them probably know a lot less than they let on. Its amazing how many prople would really rely on an "expert" like Eric on the Silicon Investor as their ultimate authority, and his words, alone, would be enough to scare them away. He certainly considers himself to be an expert. It is only our own careful followup, and trust in the written words and methodology of management that helped us to see through the approach Eric took. The article he wrote that Handles posted here; I'm assuming it was posted on his site. Someone without our insight and kind of experience wouldn't have been able to refute his words and opinions the way we did. They would be easily influenced, and, indeed, scared easily away. His words were also quite a smear on management, and I don't blame Rennie one bit for demanding an apology. Not everyone, Maz, cares to be a cold, hard seasoned trader, or market maker. They don't need to be exposed to Eric's angle on crooked geology. He assumes that all geologists act that way. That can directly affect the value of SUR shares and credibility of management, if his word is believed. So, on this board, no, I don't see it as a problem, but out in publeic, yes I do, and a big one. We are here because we want to be educated. A lot of people only look to the educated for an opinion. Sorry to have taken so much wind to say that.
