i read the article. i get your point. but... i don't subscribe to your theory in an absolute sense.

for the sake of discussion... lets just discard a merger/acquisition possibility. why else would they be taking the steps they are taking?

well... one theory is that they went to penny land for a reason and maybe they decided that the benefits of staying here a little longer outweigh the benefits of a quick return to the big boards.

maybe their Q4 numbers are good but not great.... and their Q1 numbers are better... but it is Q2 or Q3 that is going to cement a solid foundation of a valuation over 100mm and keep the stock trading over $1 and a consistent listing on the nasdaq.

considering that... why not stay in penny land and continue to restructure with less costs and restrictions. in addition, they likely didn't anticipate the demands that would be put on them by US and so they decided to "go dark" to be able to legally ignore us for the time being.

what the gain from this is more time to get their ducks in a row and a more substantial body of evidence supporting their placement on a big board exchange with stronger financials from the early quarters in 2012.

i consider this a strong possibility. that said... it doesn't mean i don't consider what dr penny is doing as a good way to help ensure a fair market valuation of our stock also.

my point of contention with you is that investors in ATRN should have an open mind as to what is going on. do your DD on the value of this company and consider many possibilities of what can happen moving forward... but don't subscribe to just one.
