Ya see...... this is why in-between is important. You can put an order in at the ask but the maker selling new shares steps up and sells them at the bid or a little higher (in-between). obv suggests the volume is negative while adi suggests it is positive. adi views the volume positive because most of it is higher than the bid. This divergence promotes alarm to technicians who see it and they investigate further with L2 and time and sales reports.
