tech question: (g'day,BTW)
Does anyone in these parts have a clear idea of how the Tivus system stacks up against BeyondTV from Hotel Internet Services? Side by side they appear to have many similarities, but I am curious to know from a bit of a tech perspective how the TIvus system outperforms beyondTV and , for that matter, LNET's IPTV+.
The patent probably spells out those details, but we don't have access to that. Perhaps someone here has that knowledge and can speak in broad strokes without getting too far into what the proprietary aspects are.
Even if the other systems are clones, I'd be willing to wager that Tivu's price structure is competitive.
I am going to see if I can a trial system onboard the Enterprise. If all goes well, we can approach the Federation. Could be a huge money-maker. Subspace content has been sorely lacking for years.Can't even get Dukes of Hazzard.
