SMF Energy auction: Stalking horse bid set at $9M

Fort Lauderdale-based SMF Energy Corp. sought approval Friday for a bankruptcy auction of its major assets with a bid deadline of 10 a.m. on May 24. A sale hearing to approve the winning bid is proposed for May 29.

Houston-based Sun Coast Energy Inc. has agreed to be the stalking horse bidder at $9 million.
