Elmer, thanks for the links. It does look like HT is a work in progress, with new BIOS and driver updates slowly bringing the technology "up to speed". I think future application optimizations will also help, and I think the distributed computing benchmarks showed a lot of promise. All this is, in effect, preparing the industry for Prescott, which will include further HT improvements, and by that time, more software to back it up.
